Just like San Andreas GTA V will come to next gen platforms and PC after several months. The game cost like $265 million to produce. No question the PC version is in the works. Porting to next gen from there is too easy to pass up the extra cash based on the PC like architecture of the next gen systems.
In my opinion it's not even a question. It will happen. Rockstar isn't stupid. They'll just wait until next year sometime.
Give it up guys you could compile links to newegg for all the components, run benchmarks, show side by side screen shots and they'd still disagree with you.

I just don't think they'd try again with a "traditional" console controller. Maybe could see some kind of attachment to an iPhone or iPad with physical buttons before a regular controller.

He actually got off really easy. I think Sony realized the case wasn't going to stop the hack from spreading. Best to just lock him down and move on focus on firmware and other sites hosting the hack. Thats the real battle. It was more bad PR than it was worth.

They'd be better off hyping what it can do than hyping it as "cooler" or an iPhone "killer". I think comparisons like that especially to the iPhone which is cleary groundbreaking do a disservice to any new platform.

This combined with some of the rumors Arstechnica posted today about dual core processors etc. I'm really looking forward to the iPhone 5. My contract is up this year so whatever the upgrade is it'll be mine.
I have all the current gen consoles and a decent PC but really like the iPhone for its bite size, cheap pick up and play games.
Adding 3D would be really cool. Hope its true.

Clearly you missed the whole point. Yes multiplatform games normally get the same patches on both platforms the difference is the PS3 update takes much longer than the 360 and its very annoying. You know... The point of the article. And the update problem happens with PS3 exclusives so how does your point counter anything?

I'll get disagreed to hell but I have to agree my biggest problem with the PS3 versus the 360 is the update process. Firmware and game updates take much longer on PS3.

$60 console games started the day the 360 was released in 2005. When the PS3 came out they followed the trend. Nintendo decided to stay with the $50 standard from last generation.
Activision only started the $60 thing in PC as some ablove already said.

On topic I can't wait to check this out. A platform agnostic Netflix like subscription service for games could be huge. No need to cry bias against people being somewhat skeptical. It hasn't happened yet so it's an unproven concept.
